- Road test vehicle, confirm issue stated by customer, diagnose cause of issue presented, document & provide proper repairs that are needed, estimate repairs needed, estimate time it will take to complete repairs needed. – The smell was an oil leak, oil pan is leaking at rust spot near the bolt. – Suggest new oil pan and gasket and an oil change – Couldn't replicate the sound, sometimes when its cold out it makes a clicking noise
